Now, this may seem like a strange post for a Monday, but hear me out. I'm never excited by the prospect of it being Friday, at least not any more than I am excited by it being Monday, or Saturday, or any other day of the week. This isn't just because I don't have a weekend these days due to school and work, it's because I actually love what I do for work, and I love what I'm in school for.
To me, the concept of TGIF means you should be looking for a different job, because if you're not excited for Monday, you aren't going to be happy just because your job gives you a paycheck. Furthermore, if you're not excited to go to work, you're not going to be doing as good of a job as you could be doing, and so the company suffers as well. Basically, doing something just to pay your bills is a lose lose situation, aside from the fact that it's better than being unemployed and homeless.
So TGIM! I'm so glad I get to do what I do, and I hope you do as well. My challenge for you is to look at your current work situation, and decide if it's really what you love doing. Decide if you're just as happy waking up on Monday morning as you are when you clock off on Friday evening. If you're not, then I would suggest taking a good look at what you would love to do, and finding a way to do it.
Comment question: What's something you would love to do, if you could have any profession in the world?
