Universal Studios

As an annual pass holder, I like to go to Universal Studios fairly often. I love walking through the huge crowds of people and marvelling at the broad variety of people that show up at a place like that. Living in Los Angeles has given me a great opportunity to watch what people are like on vacation, which isn't all that different from how we live our day to day lives, it just takes on a different form factor which makes it easier to notice.  We seem to go through our lives with a kind of tunnel vision, only focusing on our routine. You see it all the time when there are crowds of tourists all staring at the same things, which are amazing, but there is so much more that goes unseen because of the blinders we put on.

I love that since I live here and see these things on a daily basis, I don't feel the desire to stare up at the Hollywood sign, and thus I'm able to to see what else there is here.  So often we spend our commuting time in our cars, listening to music, staring ahead and getting annoyed at the traffic. I take public transportation to school every day, and I'm always blown away by the variety of people I see there.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, there is so much out there for us to see if we just open our eyes and look in different places.

Question: What's something you saw today that was out of the ordinary?
